Why an Escape-key-shaped bath bomb? Meet the Bath Key concept

ESC/01 is an Escape-key-shaped bath bomb concept from HUMAN HOURS. Bath bomb describes the intended product category. Bath Key describes our idea within it: a physical reference to the decision to leave work mode.

The two names have different jobs. One helps explain what sort of object we are developing. The other carries the meaning of its shape. You do not need to know the phrase Bath Key before understanding the concept, and the phrase is not a claim that we have invented a new product category.

Why use the Escape key?

Our starting point is the familiar keyboard reference: ESC suggests leaving a digital state. ESC/01 moves that reference into a non-electronic object. The concept has a rounded-square keycap form, a gently recessed top, and a shallow ESC mark.

It is a visual way of saying that work can end here. It is not a device that disconnects your accounts, manages your notifications or measures whether you have rested well. The idea is about a boundary, not another tool for producing more.

Why connect it with a bath?

The concept places a recognizable work-related shape in a different setting: water. Our visual sequence explores an object entering water, changing and disappearing, followed by a return to quiet water. That sequence expresses the design idea; it does not document the behavior of a finished formula.

A bath is one possible transition out of the working day, not a requirement. Our note on switching off after work offers ordinary, product-free alternatives. Rest does not have to become another purchase or another task.

What do the images show?

The images are concept renders and visualizations, not photographs of validated product tests. They show the intended warm mineral off-white appearance and keycap-like form. They should not be read as proof of final color, ingredients, scent, dissolution, residue or bath-surface compatibility.

The ESC/01 concept page separates current design intent from open questions. Formula and performance still require validation. We are not presenting the design imagery as that evidence.

Can you buy ESC/01 now?

No. ESC/01 is still in development and not yet for sale. Joining the interest list is not an order, a reservation or a preorder, and it does not promise a sample or launch date. It is a way to receive occasional updates about the concept.
